Kapas Island Beach cleaning

Kapas Island is a very beautiful island in Terengganu, Malaysia. “Kapas” means “cotton” in Malay which refers to its white beaches, and hence the name.On account of having a tropical jungle, crystal clear seawater, white sand beaches with coral reefs in the surrounding waters, the island has earned its place to be the “paradise of diving and snorkeling”. 

On 9th July 2019, seven people lead by Nadzirah (first photo, leftmost) had volunteered to do some beach cleaning activities under WA Club.Nadzirah and her friends are on their vacation there so we thought it might be a very good idea to do some beach cleaning along the way. 

Nadzirah stated that it was hard to find rubbish there as they could hardly fill up one garbage bag.Well, it bounds to be that way otherwise the island would have not been nominated its title. 

“Rubbish picking could be fun, especially if you do it in groups”

She also explained that doing this kind of activities will not only clean the beaches, but also the hearts of the people, be it the ones in action, or the ones that watch.
